After living with the regret of not spending more time with my father before he died three years ago, you would think that this would have made me braver in the face of death. It has not.
It is one of the stickiest parts of composing a memoir -- especially if the story touches on those who are still alive. To be honest, while I was writing the rough draft, the fear of what my mother would say if she read it, was my biggest moment of writer's block. It was also the moment I wanted to give up writing this story.
If you’re still here after so many months of silence, I am so grateful and humbled by your patience. And if you’re new here, welcome! There are some wonderful things to come in the next few months. After all, I couldn’t completely ignore or starve the Muse. it’s just that I felt too tired to share it last year.
